I don’t want to mention the scientific and economical side of Money, what all human beings -whether rich or poor- try to achieve all through their lives. I would like to explain my thoughts on Money in a parallel way to humanity values.

There are friends who make our lives easier or make our ways brighter with their life experiences and their ideas. Süreyya Akalın (who is not in this World now) was a friend of mine told above. I will share his studies with you from his book which I accept as a guide.

We still do not have the necessary ability of using Money in terms of quality, role and job which we use as the strongest weapon to achieve success in “life struggle”. Philosophers studied on Money based on main three functions – Exchange element, value measurement and wealth collecting- but even though they could not agree on a common description.

To make a more understandable description of what Money means on humanity side, I think it is better to take a look at the groups which own Money;

The first group of money owners value Money as what their lives engaged to. They suppose to take their lives under guarantee by saving more and more. They imagine achieving a psychological wellness by being the guard and slave of their wealth. Money is always the center of their affection. Being in love means just Money for them. Money is like an aim instead of an instrument for all the appreciation, health, honor, dignity and hope they have.

The second group is the ones who are living as parasites in social life by spending irresponsibly. They hold no account of Money. This group member usually comes up as desired, tempered and saucy ones. To see the wealthier people’s lives makes them angry and upset. Their aim is always to be respected by their life style. But although they spend more and more for this aim, it is impossible for them to find satisfaction and presence. Because they do not have the ability to separate their aims from the instruments they use. Being strong, desired and honorable means having Money and using the power of money for them.

The third group of money owners has totally different qualifications. They have the ability to use money in a correct way just like the other instruments in their lives which are giving them benefit of developing. They are the modest ones taking the right messages from their previous experiences, working productively, living orderly and facing their future full of hope. They do not run after money for saving more and more or having an imposing life style. This group of human beings always tries to gain money in an honorable way for using it to benefit from life and sharing these benefits with others.

Related to money;

Although all humans need money, money also needs humans to be used correctly.

Money is always on the side of social benefits when used by the humans who have the ability to do so.

We have not be the slave of money and let it be the master of our lives.

Money can be lost due to different reasons, but it has to be remembered that money is not the only thing for our future guarantee .Humanity values should not be forgotten.

Although money,

• gives us ability to buy food but does not give us appetite

• can buy medicine but does not give us health

• can create temporary enjoyment & pleasure but can not create happiness

• makes us gain acquaintances but not true friendships

• brings reputation but not respect

• may bring a good position but not make us a real human being

• makes us seem comic but cannot bring knowledge

• makes us saucy but not respected

The humans who take care of money in this way are the ones who use it for social benefits and share the happiness brought by money with others. Money comes up as a respected instrument in the hands of the one believing in humanity values.

I would like to share a Spanish proverb fitting the money concept of the ones who are aware of themselves and believes the happiness of sharing;

IF YOU HAVE MONEY YOU CAN NOT RECOGNIZE YOURSELF, IF YOU DON’T HAVE MONEY NOBODY RECOGNIZES YOU.

Let’s pray God for avoiding us being poor as less as spending our lives and being rich as much as making us saucy.
