-What do you want to be in the future?

-I want to be a Magician!

One has to the urge to say such when reading information about Mandrake.

This plant and its root are used for healing and magic for centuries. It is said that Mandrake is one of the first created plant and its name is mentioned in Torah. Roman’s also said that ‘it’s like a human, just not breathing’...  There are rumors ointment extracted from the parts which resembles human body is useful if it is used in the corresponding part on the human body.

We see this plant in movie ‘Harry Potter’ a lot of times. For example, in the Chamber of Secrets, Snabe Mandrake is being used to make potions to restore people who were petrified by Basilisk. In another scene, while Madam Pomfrey teaches how it is being used, all wizard apprentices wear earflaps. Why? Because this naughty plant starts screaming when its roots are pulled out off the ground causes people to faint even sometimes to die. I like Harry Potter movies because they are educative, definitely. That’s why I decided to get earflaps when I asked my husband to buy Mandrake root. I promised him not to use it for petrified people and not to make magic. Herbalist told him that this plant is being used for not for nail fungus. If it’s being used for rheumatismal pain, why am I interested in this plant? Saying’ by coincidence’ is a habit nowadays but I don’t want to use that word anymore. Instead of it, I'll use the word "synchronicity" and I will tell that the explanation of what have been lived is the answers of the universe to the questions that have been asked. Any objections?

I’ve been suffering from a disease that doctors cannot cure for 15 years. My toe nails were getting thick and this lead to a torture. Doctors told that , it might be toe fungus but , they couldn’t find anything .After that it is said that it might be hereditary as a result of  excess calcium, I guess it’s true because my all family had the same  problem at their 20’s. Because I was searching a way to get rid of this problem, I have tried all kinds of cures from the pills harm my stomach and to the gels used on the nails like a nail polish. The result was a fiasco!

I received an invitation from a yahoo group called ‘Herbal Health’ when I was really desperate. I found lots of interesting information from the mails sent to group but there was a detail which attracted my attention. In a dialog started with Mr. Hulki’s question and continued with Mr. Aydın’s answer, a solution was suggested for the nail fungus. The suggestion was different from the information written in books or internet, because it was a tried and successful herbal treatment made with Mandrake. I thought I should try it and that’s how I decided to buy Mandrake Root. Now let’s give some information about Mandrake. Mr. Nejat-a member of the yahoo group-state that Mandrake root is familiar with Ginseng. There is a warning about the Mandrake root ‘it’s poisonous don’t use it internally’ but what I don’t understand is there are tones of ginseng teas on the market and like everyone I enjoy drinking them very much. Mr. Nejat also said that Ginseng family consists of approximately 225 different kinds of ginseng and the tea we drink in our country is Panax Ginseng. That’s how I felt relieved. Anyway, we should let Doctor Tolga Dengiz to tell the scientific sides of the plant.

Now as a user I want to mention about the use of Mandrake root and the effects on toe nail fungus. I must confess when I first saw it, I was very disappointed. First of all it wasn’t screaming and it was bone dry. Contrary to the one’s who said it has an essence that can be ointment, there was nothing. Later I understood that it’s like a coconut. By cutting and scraping it, you can see the essence which is the ointment. That’s what you should spread on the diseased area. Important Warning: Wash your hands quickly after applying it because it really itches. I have been using it for 10 days and I can say that my nails grow faster than before. If this ointment reaches to dead cells it will clean them and by crumbling with pumice it will renew the cells. Lastly, if you have problems with your nails, Mandrake root is a good solution...
