On
the planet we live on, this isn’t the first civilization to have been
founded. In the Holy Scriptures and the teachings of ancient communities and
tribes and the channelings, we come across information and confirmation
regarding the foundation and the culmination of at least a few civilizations.
Certainly since science is as yet young and has no proof regarding these
civilizations it refuses their once presence. However, despite not being
based on scientific facts we know this to be true one way or another,
intuitively.
We have to assume that with the fall of a civilization, its knowledge is also
lost to us. This is because we know that man has been able to accumulate
knowledge only since the invention of writing; this being a tedious and hard
work. Furthermore of this knowledge we can only be certain of the formal
part. Thus we come to the point of how and more importantly why the ancient
knowledge has been lost; or rather whether it has been lost; or as I
personally believe why it has not been shared by masses.
Knowledge has always meant force. History is a written document narrating the
reign of those equipped with technology over those that lack it. He who sees
the enemy farther away, he who produces cheaper, he who can surmise the more
complex formulas, and most importantly he who better refrains from sharing and
concealing knowledge has always been able to beat his rivals. And most
interesting is the fact that once best selling war tactics of Clausewitz,
Atilla or Sun Tzu are all based on the concealment of knowledge and
intelligence.
Knowledge has always brought about a feeling of envy-jealousy and this
admiration has always culminated in a surrender and submisson under the will
of those who know more. “He who knows more can beautify our life faster, can
save us from what we know less, and can protect us much better”. This
assumption has always been the hope of ordinary man and of lesser states.
This inclination of the handing over of responsibility can be seen in every
walk of life and it has also taken its place in the spiritual community.
Master, teacher, mentor, imam, priest, rabbi, sensei, or guru; whatever the
title we are inclined to hand over the responsibility of our spiritual growth
to he who we think knows more. What he eats-wears-does and what she doesn’t
eat-wear-do instantly guides us and tends to define our life. We are falling
into the trap brought to our attention in the previous issue by my teacher
Gülüm Omay whom I love and respect dearly. (See
Fast-Awareness). We assume
that by wearing a certain guru’s shoes and walk in his footsteps, we will thus
be able to spread light as he does. Because he knows more, has reached the
knowledge beyond us, from hence on we should let him decide on the matters
regarding our marriage and work. But humanity is unfolding. Gurus, senseis,
teachers and guides are now obsolete. Knowledge is now cheap and easy
attained. We can now find in our homes the once secret hidden knowledge and
information that would have taken years, only in seconds. And that is thanks
to the communication and technology revolution. This is a fast-information
which can lead to Fast-Awareness. The knowledge man has worked years to
deserve is now on display on supermarket shelves. Ordinary man for once in
history can reach information without an intermediary. Pure teaching not
filtered by the humane weaknesses of the religious or mystic authority is now
here and available. Hence it may be possible that this for the first time
destroys the caste system created by an illusions; the illusion being “how can
he who knows be equal to he who knows not”. He who knew and he who didn’t
were always equal. Both were One. But for once it is possible thanks to the
equal opportunity of attaining information.
I
am certainly not claiming that the esoteric knowledge and its deeper secrets
have all been revealed. What I mean is that eight hour courses to learn
kabala, or read loads of books to learn theosophy or internet lodges to learn
Masonry are all meaningless and absurd. But without regarding those who are
interested in these topics as chosen or special and the rest common, the
content and the depth and the relative values of these topics are available to
us all now. Hence why should the fast-awareness not be possible by taking on
ones own responsibity of personal growth without guru-master-sensei, without
glorifying, worshipping one person? Why the rituals? Why the years? Today
reiki self attunement is possible. Perhaps tomorrow we will reach the symbols
ourselves. It all lies with the 100th monkey who assumed his own
responsibity.*
It is now meaningless to bow to teachers for years and do as they do. If this
were not so, if man were not awakening, could these teachings be so
widespread? Could these techniques we had no knowledge of, these incense,
herb teas and books be attainable so fast? Or rather had humanity not made an
awareness leap, could we learn in a day the healing techniques which once took
years to learn? Let’s be thankful to Usui’s bravery. But now for those who
have the knowledge there is an interest in seniority and a reaction to those
who are now learning because these students will not go through the struggle
they once had to go through. Instead of a feeling of “Yes… True….we faced
hard times.. But the new learners thanks to the progress of humanity will go
forward faster and easier than we did” the feeling of “ Himm..they have a lot
to learn and a lot to cover as yet” prevails. There also exists the
presumption that which is local should be held onto and is the prerequisite of
being able to understand the universal meaning.
Times are changing. Those who built their lives on the thought that after the
Iron Curtain polarity will continue to be, those who resisted change have all
been disillusioned. Conventional Medicine, called modern medicine is bound to
face the same bottleneck if it persists on disregarding soul and mind and
pursue on living in the past. Medicine will then follow the path of those who
couldn’t foresee the future of television neither the wide usage of personal
computers at home and those that couldn’t flow with the waves...
We have so far been told that to reach unconditional love years of
purification and hardship and the thorough learning of ancient knowledge were
required. But we have always been kept ignorant of the fact that attaining
some knowledge can be possible only and only after having experienced this
unconditional love. If there are those who have experienced this then they
should guide man to love instead of reminding them that they have to work as
hard as their masters once did. They should praise the value of the knowledge
following this love instead of giving them information anyone can find
anywhere.
Yes
reaching Love through knowing and information is a long path. But knowledge
attained through love is deeper and vast. Let us not do unto them what the
old and their followers have done to all in search of the ways of Prophets
Christ, Moses, and Mohammed and Buddha or to those who are looking for newer
easier ways of development which will enlighten develop and free them, so that
knowledge will no longer be the distinction between the leader and the
led....So be it...
As you like it.
Love and knowledge become abundant while sharing.
The Aim is one, yet legends many.

monkey learning a new competence, all the monkeys on the other islands have
acquired the same competence through a leap of conscious.
