“While I am trying to wear my black leather jacket that I haven’t worn for a long time, the barb of the belt hooks to my left eye and takes out my pupil. After hanging in the air for some time, it hooks to my right elbow. All of a sudden, all these people gather around me asking me what I am going to do. At the same time, I’m looking at my pupil that is now in my elbow, and thinking how alive it seems. When I come to the hospital, I am sitting calmly and waiting for my doctor to arrive. I have %100 trust in him. Then start thinking nothing such can happen. I realize I am still seeing and that I suffer no pain. I am telling people around me that this is a ‘dream’ and now doctor will show up to place my eye into its right place.”

As soon as I woke up, I wrote my dream into my dairy. Why had I dreamt such a dream? More importantly, I was aware I was dreaming. I had kept my cool and had found the solution easily. I was even calmer and secure than I could have ever been in my daily life. I began to analyze my dream as I ate my breakfast. I found the answers soon.

The unpleasant experiences I’ve been through lately, and the negative thoughts I receive from my environment had added all up and had caused me to have worries about my future. I had even thought of giving up all my decisions and living like I used to. However by universal subconscious had lightened all those dark rooms and had warned me. The message was clear: “You are reflecting your old way of thinking into your future!”

The incident that my left pupil (in dreams, left is interpreted as past, and right is as future) had hooks to my right elbove meant that I was reflecting my negative point of view in the past to my future. It also means that I should immediately change this point of view into positive. People gathering around me represent the collective consciousness. They are tense about this thing. I consider it normal because that’s the kind of society I was raised in.

I lived with these reactions for a long time. For me to wake up in my dream and realize I am dreaming is a reflection of my trust to the Universal Consciousness. That’s why I say my doctor, in other words Higher Consciousness will cure me. I am achieving to change my fate.

And when I wake up inside my dream, I realize I actually wake up to life and that’s when the real life begins.

Is it really possible to wake up in the dreams? The research done by the scientists on the dreams mostly consist of Lucid Dreaming issues. A lucid dream is a dream in which a person is aware that s/he is in a dream and can usually direct the dream the way s/he wishes to. Lucid means clear, transparent.

With lucid dreams; it’s possible to prepare for something you’ll do later, or to find solutions to your problems. There are some techniques for improving this skill. Its possible take an adventure, make new discoveries, to travel into past of future, finding the answers to questions in lucid dreams.

To prepare for waking up during the dream fallowing techniques can be used:

To have a peaceful mind (clearing your mind from daily thoughts)

Not taking any alcohol or drugs

Relaxing the body by using the right breathing style

Setting an aim

Being determined.

Examples of Lucid Dreams

A lucid dream that improves talent:

“It was only a night before my first 10 km run, and I was worried. The route was bumpy and I had never run on the hills before. All my trainings were limited with field runs that were not in the open air. That night, I dreamt a dream in which I was only using the techniques I had previously read in the books. I remember being aware of my dream while I was still dreaming.

‘This dream will teach me how to run on the hills.’  I was thinking. And I used the techniques I saw in my dream in the real run too. They really worked!”

Another lucid dream that is the practice of the future:

“Before falling asleep, I kept thinking how I would tell my classmates about my internship experiences. In my dream - I was aware that I was dreaming – I brought a pile of things to the classroom with the help of a barrow. Then I placed them all and gave a wonderful speech.

Everything, from the headlines to the posters, was complete in the cardboards that summarized my speech. When I woke up, what I was going to do was clear in my mind. That’s exactly how I did it and everything went just fine.”

When you transfer your audience position in you dreams to your awaken life, your awareness ness about your life will increase, and you will start to look at events from a more holistic and flexible perspective.

Our brain builds up a model about what’s going on in the world which refreshes constantly and makes predictions about what can be done in the future. Predictions are limited with the amount of things achieved so far.

During the sleep, brain starts to rest; it begins to go beyond the five senses and to get to know itself, waking up to its spiritual world.

The thoughts, in the awakened life, allow the person to understand him/herself, the nature and his/her environment. The person lives the joy, fear and the sorrow with his/her feelings. S/he touches, hears or sees with her/his senses. But by using intuitions, a person can make synthesis in a higher degree. The dreams offer important conditions for this to take place.

For the human being who is equipped with lots of perceptions and talents beyond the five senses, Lucid dream practices are very important. Lucid is a technique that is used to open out the door which blocks the path to our inner potential.
