As
you know humans have been investigating their body and sicknesses since they
were aware of it. It's possible to blame today's life style and stress for
the cause of many sicknesses. In my opinion the other reason is that we don't
love and care for enough our bodies. If we could love & care for our bodies
the world would become a better place to live. I think we are the only
creatures who don't care about themselves and the world they live in. We
behave as if we have unlimited health resources or would never die. Sure it's
not easy to rule the world!! Alright I've just been sarcastic now but this
is the attitude of humans towards themselves and their environment. However
the tomcat who lives in our house leaks itself for hours then purrs all night
to heal its body. That's not all, if we would let it might heal us as well.
I read
a very interesting articles about bioacoustics recently(1). Bioacoustics is
the study of sound in animals. It includes animal communication and associated
behavior, sound production anatomy and auditory mechanisms of animals etc...The
article is about Dr. Elizabeth Von Mugganthaler's(2) research on cat family.
According to Dr Elizabeth Von Mugganthaler's hypothesis; all cat family from
domestic cat to wild cat produce purr sound that can heal them and can heal
us too! How is it possible! Just let them purr and sleep with you.
The
story of this discovery is quiet interesting. Dr Elizabeth had been working
with wild cats at a facility, one day while passing by the cage of a wild cat,
she heard that wild cat purring. It sounded odd to her. She got back to her
office and kept thinking about the purr sound. She found an article in
National Geographics magazine(3) about a researcher who had put chickens on
vibrating plank for twenty minutes and witnessed their bones grew. Something
clicked in Elizabeth's mind so she called him and asked what the anobolic
frequencies for bones were. He said that they were between 20-90Hz. There is
an evidence suggesting that 25 Hz and 50Hz are the best frequncies for bone
growth. The next day Dr Elizabeth grabbed her artist doctor big tomcat and
recorded it's purr on her computer. When she looked at the results she found
that the frequencies were the same. Thereupon she recorded every domestic
cat from neigbourhood and friends. The type of frequencies that are found in
the various cat's purr (including wild cats) are between 20-50 Hz, but the
dominant frequency for domestic cat's purr were exactly 25 Hz or 50 Hz.
Scientists
have been investigating stimulation of certain frequencies for bone growth and
fracture healing for a long time and the results are published at several
magazines. Dr Elizabeth put together her research and evidences from other
sources then presented her hypothesis to the world: A cat family produces
purr sound between 20-50 Hz frequencies which can help to cure bone & muscle
diseases of humans.
This
hypothesis was supported by many sources especially from veterenerians.(4) The
vetereniarians has known for a time that cats don't get bone diseases, and
some more diseases that dogs get. There is an old veterenarian saying and
still being taught in veterinary schools:
"Put a
cat in a room with a bunch of broken bones , the bones will heal."
While
scientists discuss the healing properties of cats purr, Dr Elizabeth says
that there is absolutely no harm in sleeping with your cat, it can help
healing.
I have
discovered another aspect of frequency healing properties at an acupuncture
session where I had been cured recently. I had a problem with my waist that I
thought my acupuncture specialist can fix... My Chinese specialist used
Chinese made electro acupuncture equipment on me.(like tradional acupuncture
but needlleless, works with vibrations of electric currants). The result was
amazing. It felt good and relaxing and the pain had almost disappeared. Later
I made research about the frequencies of electro acupuncture. I found out that
the type of frequencies of electro acupuncture are between 5-100Hz. It seems
clear why these methods have been practised for a while.(5) Chinese and
Russion researches discovered benefits of stimulation of vibrations in
certain frequencies a long time ago. When the walls of eastern block fell down,
knowledge spread through the Western world where at gyms these equipments are
started to be used. Well, there had been a lot of research about stimulation
of certain frequencies, but the healing properties Cat's purr's make this
subject very exciting, since it reveals secrets about the old the four legged
close friends of humans.
There
is another interesting research made by medical society about cats. According
to a scientist; the immune system of children who live with cats get stronger
and they are protected from allergies and asthma.
Well,
It is almost three thousand years since we have domesticated the cat. We are
finally solving the puzzle of nine lives of the cat who the symbol of moon
and a god, worshipped by the ancient Egyptians. Well, cat's secret of nine
lives is reaveled by it's purr.
What
about secrets of the humanbeing! Since he lost to ability to even breathe
deeply and rythmic, he needs to connect with himself again. We live and work
under enourmous pressure and live in illusion by following careers that never
suit us. We neglect our bodies and the nature. However if we can tune inside
ourselves and then to the nice vibrations of nature, we could feel much
better. But if
you think that is difficult or impossible since you too busy it would be best
for you to have a cat at home.
Ohh
put her on your belly she puurrrrs and warms you and relieve pains.
If
your knee is aching the solution is easy, get a cat and relax with her.
If
your calcium intake is low , get a cat and sleep with her.
If you
break up with your loved one, again get a cat and cuddle to it, it will warm
you up but I don't think it'll relieve that kind of pain!
Every
household needs a cat, of course we never let them be our specialists, but
they may help us heal.
P.s:
My apologies to some of my former cats who have been chucked out of bed at
various occasions while being called names like lovesick and so forth.
